Three wins at two losses resulted in a third-place finish for Roland-Story at the Meskwaki volleyball tournament Saturday (8/31) in Tama.

The Norsemen defeated Ankeny Christian and Colo-NESCO in two set sweeps and lost to North Tama in a two-set sweep.  R-S split a pair of tight matches with Denver, winning one and losing one with both going three sets.

Roland-Story over Ankeny Christian 21-4, 21-8

Roland-Story over Colo-NESCO 21-13, 21-13

North Tama over Roland-Story 21-19, 21-14

Denver over Roland-Story 13-21, 21-18, 15-13

Roland-Story over Denver 21-17, 17-21, 15-13

The Norsemen are now 6-2 and do not play again until Thursday (9/12) when they open Heart of Iowa Conference play at home against Nevada.  The Cubs shared the HOIC championship last year with North Polk while R-S was right behind in third place.
