In a match to decide third place in the final Heart of Iowa Conference volleyball standings, North Polk prevailed over Roland-Story Thursday night (10/17) in Story City.

Set scores were 13-25, 25-20, 25-17 and 25-18 in favor of the Comets, who finished 5-2 in conference play.  The loss dropped the Norsemen to 4-3 in the league and 24-9 overall.  R-S wraps up the regular season on Saturday (10/19) in a tournament at Woodward-Granger.

In the loss to North Polk, Amy Rathmacher led the Roland-Story attack with 15 kills and Madison Geise contributed eight.  Geise also had 33 set assists and she and Ava Charlson both racked up 21 defensive digs.  Reagan Barkema had five blocks on the night.
