The football season came to a close for Roland-Story with a 27-14 district loss at Nevada on Friday (10/25).

The Norsemen got TDs from Luke Patton on a 2-yard quarterback sneak and Kyle Selby on a 60-yard interception return.

Patton completed 8-of-21 passes for 117 yards for R-S.  Zach Twedt was his favorite target with three connections for 92 yards.  Selby led Norse rushers with 25 yards on the ground.

Defensively, Twedt had 10.5 tackles, Adam McIlrath 9.5 and Jackson Sterle 9.0.  Logan Schnurr recovered a fumble for Roland-Story.

Patrick Gonzales was 2-for-2 on PAT kicks.

The Norsemen ended the season with a 1-8 overall record and an 0-5 mark. 

With the win, Nevada tied for the district championship with Benton and West Marshall as all finished with 4-1 records.  But the Cubs did not qualify for the Class 2A state playoffs; the Bobcats and Trojans did advance to the post-season.
