Roland-Story outscored PCM, 28-2, in a dominant third quarter to roll to a 63-23 Heart of Iowa Conference girls basketball win Friday (1/03) in Story City.
The Norsemen led 29-19 at halftime before blowing the game wide open in the second half. The Norse scored the first 11 points after halftime for a 40-19 lead and after a PCM bucket went on a 17-0 run to lead 57-21 going to the fourth quarter.
Reagan Barkema led Roland-Story scorers with 20 points and also pulled down a team-high eight rebounds. Reece Johnson was also in double figures for scoring with 11 points. Juliann Clark had six rebounds and five assists in the winning effort.
The Norse improved to 8-1 overall and 5-1 in the conference with the victory. Roland-Story's next game is Tuesday (1/07) against Iowa Falls-Alden in non-conference play.
