![]() Another HOIAC sweep for NorsePosted: 09/15/2009 - by Paul ClarkRoland-Story posted its third straight conference volleyball sweep Monday night, downing South Hamilton, 25-9, 25-10 and 25-21. The win improves R-S to 3-0 in Heart of Iowa Athletic Conference matches and 5-2 overall. The Norse have won all nine of their games in league play.
Jenny Olson was chosen as the Edward Jones player-of-the-game in the win over South Hamilton. Olson had five kills and only one attack error and also came up with three digs and two blocks. Mia Pierson had seven kills and five blocks at the net. Defensively, Taylor Rusher racked up 14 digs while Emily Krakau (11) and Abbey Sindt (10) were also in double figures. Sindt had 19 assists from the setter position. Amber Renaud delivered four ace serves. Roland-Story plays in a triangular at Ames Tuesday night that was recently added to the schedule. The Norse are slated to play a pair of CIML Class 4-A opponents, Des Moines Hoover and Ames. -ARCHIVES- |
