A four-run third inning accounted for all of the scoring in Roland-Story’s 4-0 softball win over South Hamilton Wednesday night in Jewell.  The win lifted R-S to 8-7 on the season.  The Norse open pool play in the Kiwanis tournament at Roland Thursday evening, facing Ballard and Nevada in games that can be heard on NorsemenNetwork.com.

Dani Mott had a two-run double for the Norse in their big inning and Kayla Nielsen followed with a double that scored Mott.  R-S had just five hits as a team but made the most of two walks and a hit by pitch in the decisive fourth inning.

Sarah Grimsley pitched a complete game victory for R-S.
