CMB blanked Roland-Story, 3-0, in Heart of Iowa Conference softball Tuesday night in Roland.  The loss drops the Norse to 7-7 on the year headed into a game at South Hamilton on Wednesday.

R-S managed just three hits in its second shutout loss of the year to the Raiders, but the Norse were much improved defensively and with their pitching compared to a 10-0 loss at CMB earlier this season.  McKena Carlson, Kayla Nielsen and Sarah Grimsley each managed a hit for Roland-Story with Carlson delivering a double.  Grimsley took the pitching loss, giving up three runs and ten hits while striking out six.

CMB scored twice in the top of the third and added an insurance run in the top of the seventh.
