Roland-Story defeated Colfax-Mingo, 4-2, in Heart of Iowa Conference softball Monday in Roland.  R-S improved to 7-6 on the year and hosts CMB Tuesday evening at Bill Hennessy Field.

Mykel Carlson had two hits and Dani Mott had two RBIs in the Norse victory over Colfax-Mingo.  R-S scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and never trailed.  Mott doubled home two runs in the big first inning.  The Norse finished with six hits as a team.  Sarah Grimsley pitched a complete game for the win, scattering nine hits and allowing just two runs.
