![]() R-S relay team qualifies for finalsPosted: 05/23/2009 - by Paul ClarkRoland-Story's 4x100 relay team qualified for the Class 2A finals to highlight the day Friday for the Norsemen track team at the state track meet in Des Moines. Three individuals also competed on the day for R-S, but none placed in their respective events.
In the 4x100, the relay team of Adam Johnson, Keaton Mathis, Bryce Sampson and Bryttan Thompson timed in 44.11 to make it to Saturday's final at Drake Stadium. The Norse had the fourth-fastest qualifying time. Sampson also competed individually on Friday in the 110-meter high hurdles. His time of 15.74 seconds did not place in the top eight. The Norsemen had two other individuals in action in field events on Friday. Bryce Holdredge cleared 6-0 even in the high jump (did not place) and Jacob Rathmacher threw the discus 123-5 (did not place). -ARCHIVES- |
