![]() Roland-Story girls win Bondo Inv.Posted: 05/08/2009 - by Paul ClarkRoland-Story had seven individual winners and also captured a relay first place en route to a team championship at the Bondurant-Farrar Invitational girls track meet on Thursday (5/7). The Norsemen scored 150 team points to easily out distance Earlham in second place with 100 points. St. Edmond (75 points), East Marshall (75), North Polk (70), ADM (61) and Bondurant-Farrar (51) completed the field.
Sprinter Ana Morgan led the way with another three-peat of individual event wins. Morgan won the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash. Her winning times were 12.84 seconds, 26.6 and 1:01.25, respectfully, in the trio of events. Morgan also ran the anchor leg of the Norse’s winning sprint medley relay effort. Rachel Hagedorn, Cortney Riesberg and Elizabeth Kirkpatrick teamed with Morgan to win in 1:55.23. Hagedorn captured an individual title of her own in the field events, winning the long jump with a top mark of 15-8 ¼ on the day. Maddie Oliver also won a field event for the Norsemen, taking first in the shot put with a best effort of 33-1. Back on the track, Roland-Story got winning performances from Jenna Morris in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:34.68 and Rebecca Maughan in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:10.84.
