Bryce Holdredge captured a regional individual title in the high jump. He was the only competitor who cleared 6-2 in the event to win it. Jacob Rathmacher placed second in the discus with a best mark on the day of 127-8, qualifying him for state. Another runner-up finisher for R-S was Bryce Sampson, second in the 110-meter hurdles with a state-qualifying time of 15.29 seconds. Also punching his ticket to state in an individual event was Bryttan Thompson, third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.03 seconds. The Norsemen won two relay events at the regional meet. The 4x100 team of Adam Johnson, Keaton Mathis, Sampson and Thompson hit the tape first in that event with a time of 44.98 seconds. And the foursome of Johnson, Matt Swanson, Mathis and Thompson won the 4x200 in 1:32.92. The Norse also qualified for state in the 4x800 relay and the 4x110 shuttle hurdle relay. Other individual place winners at the regional meet for R-S were: Andrew Henning, 4th, 110-meter hurdles, 15.74; Travis Wilson, 4th, shot put, 45-10; A.
