Roland-Story used its depth to finish second the large school division team standings at the Heart of Iowa Conference boys track meet Tuesday (May 12) at Gilbert.  The Norsemen had one individual champion and also won a relay event.  But it was the quantity of scorers for R-S that lifted the Norse all the way to the runner-up position with 103 team points.  Jefferson-Scranton won the team title with 137 points.  PCM finished third with 91, followed by CMB (90), Bondurant-Farrar (62), North Polk (57) and Gilbert 18.

Bryttan Thompson was Roland-Story's individual conference champion, taking first place in the 40-meter dash.  His winning time was 51.99 seconds.  Thompson also placed second in the 200 meters in a time of 23.74 seconds.  The Norse had one other second-place finish with Bryce Holdredge posting the runner-up mark in the high jump at 6-0 even.

The Norsemen won the shuttle hurdle relay event in a time of 1:00.38.  Members of the winning quartet were Andrew Henning, Matt Swanson, Zeb Hammes and Bryce Sampson.
