The Roland-Story baseball team opened the season with a 3-1 victory over Iowa Falls Monday night in Story City.

The Norsemen won despite getting just one base hit in the game, a single by Zach Hovick. It was pitching and defense that carried R-S. Matt Swanson allowed one earned run on four hits and struck out six in a complete game victory.

Roland-Story, now 1-0, hosts Ballard in another non-conference game on Tuesday (5/25).
